Kay’s Testimony about Overcoming Anger
Kay thought she didn’t have a problem with anger until she started doing scriptural research to help others with theirs. She learned that her anger was as destructive as her husband’s and is grateful for God’s intervention in her life.
The Bile of Bitterness
If we harbor bitterness in our hearts, anger is unavoidable. God tells us to put it away because it causes trouble, bondage and many are defiled by it. We will cover specific steps that we can take to cleanse our hearts of the bile of bitterness.
Fellowship of the Fat
When giving instructions for the sacrifices, God said the burnt offering was a sweet smelling aroma to Him. A look at those instructions will give us insight on how to remedy the rift in relationships that is caused by anger.
Love and Light
Love is the perfect cure for anger. If God is love and God is light, in some way the two are equal. By studying light, we can gain insight into what it means to love. As our heart is filled with love, it has less room for anger.
Just like Adam and Eve, we have a choice of whether or to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil or the tree of life. Our choice will greatly affect our tendency to anger.
Grace and Law
Much of our anger comes from the application of law in our life, rather than grace. Insight will be given into how a problem of anger relates to grace and law.
